On others, only when it's charged. 2) Sig made some changes to the FCU couple of years back and new models apparently only allow the MS lever to be engaged only when gun is charged. Easy process and may take five minutes (plenty of YouTube "how to" videos out there). However, my P365 is an early production model (February 2018) and aside from the dead night sights (which was fixed by Sig), I have yet to have an issue with the gun. I am fairly active on this board and several others, and am aware of exactly zero instances of issues with the P365 fcu in terms of drop safe. This includes several fairly high round count trainers and students, including LEO and ex .mil folks. However the longer frame on the P365 will make for a better shooter. Even with the 12-round extended mag in a std P365 I find I can handle and shoot the P365X better. It might be due to the slight flare at the base of the grip.The P365 is a very small pistol and it's possible your hands/grip are interfering with the movement of the slide.
